Historical learning, updated description extraction, and fixed assets threshold
AI now learns from past transactions, descriptions include service dates, and fixed asset threshold prevents misclassification.
Historical Learning
The AI now learns from past transactions. When connecting a new Xero client, Briefcase automatically embeds the previous 12 months of historic transactions overnight. For each new transaction, the AI applies learned knowledge to improve categorization. Users can correct categorizations, and the AI learns from changes in real-time for the next transaction processed.

Updated Description Extraction
The description extraction feature now includes service delivery dates where present. This addresses the month-end challenge of identifying prepayments, with full automation coming soon.

New Fixed Assets Threshold
AI categorization now enforces a £250 threshold for fixed asset ledger assignments, preventing low-value purchases from being incorrectly marked for depreciation.
Additional Improvements
- VAT rate now displays on the inbox page alongside transaction categories for bulk publishing
- Fixed a bug affecting multiple line item updates in foreign currency
